l was born 7 months old and by so l was helped by sisters and nuns in Budini Hospital in Busoga Kamuli district where l recovered from 3 days coma when my mother told me that the whole of my body become blue and l recovered after intensive care which was offered to me buy the sister and nuns in the catholic church where we used to stay and later joined Nursery school when l was 3 years. From there l joined My primary one in Nakyirungu P/S in Sironko District Mbale where my father and mother were teachers since 1983 up to 1987 and from there my parents were transferred to Manjiya county Mbale district (current Bududa ) the home county were l joined Bunabumali primary school in P 2 second term 1987 and my mother picked up a girl who was needy and we become friends and she was given school fess from our family up to Senior Three when she got pregnant (Grace Nabulo) that is where l managed to be the Head of the class for being the best in class and l started playing football when l was in P 5 and l gained momentum to play up to the College level.while in primary l was so active in extra curricular activities which earned me access to have friends who trained me in football ,volleyball and many more in-door games and out-door games.l did my Primary leaving examinations(PLE) in 1992 and l got very good marks which gave me another set to join Bulucheke UCE certificate after four years, and l was still having the best of my sports and l managed to earn a prize in the Field of Games, from they l joined Bulucheke S S school again for two years attaining UACE certificate after two year, with the two years l was elected to be the head perfect of the school for one year and managed to be the leader of the students committee mbale district.Having finished my secondary education which was based in the rural areas in one school almost for 6years and having in one kind of shirt and pair of shorts and being bare footed (without shoes) for the whole of my "O"level - and "A" level l made it to the best of joining the NTC Nagongera that is when my parents managed to buy for me a pair of shoes, mattress, pair of bed sheets, basin,a cup,and some small utensils which l could use for life since it was my first time of joining a boarding school. it was not easy but since it was the order of the day l had to go and join my friends whom we had left the high school together l figured to be the one and good enough l was good in football l managed to be so friendly to almost every body and more the lectures who were training us and the director managed to offer me prizes for being organized in one of the colleges in the smallest boy in the college team ad playing nicely,l figured the best during the inter-college competition which were Uganda and l got prize of golden medal which was stolen from me when l had returned to the college, this made me cry and cry but all was gone but thanks God when l reported the case the director of the college told me"don't worry everything is with God more things will come your way," l said thanks.l continued playing and during my second year 2001 at the college we went to have another host of the sports day in Lira and l won the second prize for scoring a Golden goal and my director bought me A GOLDEN WATCH and a traveling bag for carrying my sports wear and other items like the first aid box. During my way out of the college l moved with the certificates of merit in the field of news paper editor,co-curricular activities and Diploma in education(1999-2001).

l have lived life which is so interesting any-away, l was brought up in a rural-rural area and all my education in rural based schools which made me to plant my forest of trees to help the area during times of heavy rains and control some landslides which had erupted so severe in the community since the area is next to Mt.Elgon.l have been trained as a teacher from NTC and l have finished my Degree in Education from Makerere university Kampala.

Funny but sad to hear

Before joining the university,l applied to set for mature entry exams in order to join the university which l did so and managed to join and during the way of making the application go through l was staying in Masaka far away from Kampala and where l was staying l was with my cousin brother (Namutambo George D), and a friend(James A) whom we used to teach together while in Bunabumali mbale but when we reached in Masaka George was the fast to get a job of cleaning a petrol station and he managed to feed us for three months and later James got a job of a teaching.Sad to say before getting of what to eat we could hardly get water and food and George manged to carry for us food from the petrol station which was carrying something funny but edible that is what l can say:

when all that was done we were having one blanket which was bought by the father during my joining of the college.when James got a job he decided to leave me with George and rented his own room and never helped us at all l cried us to why l helped him and when he got his money he decided to leave me but with God all is possible. l talked to a friend who wholeheartedly gave me a teaching post and l started teaching at a wage of 50000 ug shillings and l stayed at that school for two terms and l got another school which was paying me 150000 ug shilling per month, l managed to access the basic needs and even George to come where l was teaching and we stayed together while he was the Gate keeper of the school and q started making business of selling salads and chapatis to the students and from that l made it to the university to pay for my fees and having some basics after that l told my parents that l have got a place at the university and l was then to help my sister Esther who had just joined the college for social work and social administration and l managed to pay for her some fees and she also finished now looking for a job.Absolutely sad due to having much love in sports,l organized a team which was to play a friendly match in Kampala (St, Mbuga High School),during the preparation it was very ice and welcoming and we set off to Kampala at 07:00 am and we arrive in the Kampala at 09:00 AM and we received a very good welcome l appreciated, the games were very nice played only to my surprise the students were the winners of the match and us the teachers were defeated during the teachers match, and one teacher was knocked on the head and blood came out good enough he was hospitalized for 30minutes and we went to eat food then later in the evening at 21:30PM the pastor was to pray for our trip back to masaka unfortunately He never did so and we entered the bus back to school:- It was Friday night at 23:15Pm 17th/july//2004 which l cannot forget in life it was very sad for me and many of my friends at that time.

Now on the way almost reaching the school we meet thugs(thieves) who were standing across the road and stopped the drive with the one gun, sticks, one toy gun which l saw afterwards, knives, which they used to destroy the bus and the drive stopped hoping that there were traffic officers to his up set they (thugs) asked him to put on the lights in the bus and he said no the lights don't work and they started heating the bus and sad to say they heat his head and took away his cellphone(mobile) and asked him to produce the money which he was not having and he said may be the teacher has off which the teacher next to the drive was none other than Norman and then l moved backwards and then the drive run off the door and the the (thugs) knocked the door of the bus until it was opened by breaking it both sides where the drive seat and the the passengers door.when the door was opened the (thugs) told every body in the bus to get out and lie down of the flat surface which was having swamp water and on both sides there was water and the valley where the owner of the land hard fenced his plot. when every body was out of the bus they asked every one to give out money and the cellphone(mobiles), but none did so and they asked the three girls t stand up and tell out the names of the teachers who were in the bus but the girls were quite and none stood up,and the (thugs) told all girls to enter into the bus and which the girls did so!! when all girls were inside the bus there told the boys and teachers inclusive to enter the bus leaving the shoes, shirts, pair of trousers before entering the bus which was do so you can imagine and believe what the situation was at the time of the mid night, in the due course of lying on the flat surface l hide my cellphone in the grass but funny enough the thief saw it and said please can you bring that phone here l did so by the order it was my first cellphone l bought in my wages(Motorola T90) whenever l see it with some one l remember the tragedy and besides me was a teacher who had also cellphone was also taken. And after the trousers were checked and remember every one was now inside the bus you can imagine being in the suits of Adam and Eve.Many of the clothes were taken and the money which was there also taken and to my sad note had purchased my new pair of shoes which was taken bu they left the documents which had carried to from the university for the admission after having passed the mature age exams, Glory be given to God!! so sad again was the situation when the thugs were removing the properties from us there came motor cyclist who was heat on the head with an iron bar and he fell down from the bike and run away with blood then afterwards he came to pick his motor cycle and funny to say is that when he came back he went with one of the teachers who was bleeding and when there were almost reaching the main road they saw police coming by them and then the teacher said '" he fell of from the bike and started crawling n the grass having feared that more of the thugs were attaching them the second time and from there he said that he went and hide in the near by plantation were after he knocked on the near by women who gave him a dress and the blouse to wear after he was taken to the hospital the teacher said" very much interesting and un-believable when the thugs had finished removing all what we had carried, there told everybody to enter the bus of which we did so and we gave thanks to them saying"mwebale nnyo mwebaliledala"(meaning: thanks thanks very much) sad to say after we had entered the bus the thugs asked where the drive was and we said loudly and calm that the drive is not with us here so one one of the thugs came and stood near the drives door and started the engine of the bus while standing outside and later removed the hand brakes the drive had left in so we thought he was going to drive the bus while out side but to my surprise the two thugs who were standing in front of the bus started pushing the bus backwards and remember it was stopped on th sloping side of the valley, you can imagine what followed"" thugs ran and carried away what was taken from us and ran when we realised there was no drive in the bus we started crying and saying people the bus is going to fall down and some of the people started coming out i.e the first group of people to jump out were 6(six) in number ,followed by 5(five) and in the due course of the moving out l also followed on my way of jumping out, one of the boys who new how to drive jumped over the driver's seat to control the bus on so doing that l did n't know l was knocked by the door way of the bus and my left leg was heat to ground when the bus feel down it followed me and the wheels of the bus tyres upside down l started crying loudly saying people are dieing, the thugs heard me and came over wanted to know my head with the sticks and one of the said don't just heat the board of the bus to follow on all of them but thanks God the board refused to be destroyed and when there realized that the bus was now upside down they all by the forest - valley side and some people started running away. After the departure of the thugs,l came to know that l was now dieing l started crying very loudly for help and saying; please come over and help either cut off the leg or l die!!! the pain was so much near my whist and the leg where the bus was standing and some of the boy who was near came by and said let me try to pull you out of the bus in the ways of pulling me out l told him please am dieing juts wait or cut of the leg so that l remain with one, then he left me and l told he tel your friends to first left away the bus from the leg before l can be removed( l remember the pain l went through) so when the boy told the rest to left off the bus l felt like getting out but l could manage because the leg was now paralyzed, the bus came back to seat on me for the first time after it was lifted l felt it painful and l had nothing to do( as one scholar said:if you can n't resist rape then you lie down and enjoy) the students went and got some sticks from the near by fence of the barbed wires and used to lift the bus after it was off my leg l said now it is off but still had no energy to get out l called in one boy to carry me out the lifters of the bus were already tied so the bus came to my leg and the whist for the second time l felt like why shouldn't die and this pain goes away for good!! now for the third time l called one of the big boys near to come and be near me when they lift the bus away he could pull me by force and it was so as l had told him but when the bus was lifted whenever pulled the leg to the direction of the ankle so l again cried loudly that my leg is getting cut off and you stop pulling he stopped and the bus came for the third time to set on the leg and the whist l felt what can write now but more death was near y way to the heart, so now for the fourth time l directed the boy that when the bus is lifted just come this side and carry me off l Will be in position to be lifted because l can't manage any more to move any direction so this time the bus was lifted and the leg almost felt to be removed l told the by try you level best and carry the leg out l feel the bus is not on it what you do is now having the leg pulled buy force and it was so and after the leg getting out of the bus l told them allow me rest of the road here as you remove some of the students in the bus remember some of the students were also in the bus as there were lifting afterwards when there had removed every body from the bus l was pulled from the road and then put across the road to wait for the vehicles to take us to school or the hospital on my way to the roadside l realized there was a girl who was seriously dieing due to unconsciousness because she was having high blood pressure and it made he loss the sense and she become dump and one of the teachers also become so much injured and the bleeding was so much l came to know the leg was paining me and l also said to one of the boys can you take me home i.e (l was now meaning Mbale) which was between 500kms and 1000Kms far) then the boy said no we need to go the hospital l said no because l was worried of the injections in the hospital and l had taken over 20 yrs with on injection l kept quite and there came a Car where the man was having a cellphone who helped us and run police Masaka to tell them of the incident and immediately the girls who were very much injured and the teacher were taken to masaka hospital and they asked me l said no please l will be OK while the bones were very much dislocated but l was having some thinking capacity that when go l Will be injected!! Remember the motor cyclist had left his bike he came to pick it and then go after running away with stains of blood.

when the Chairperson of the area heard of the crowd he came over and told us to move to the near by trading centre known as kaswa where he saw more two cars which were robed by the thugs within that very period. with much love the chairperson had he carried all the girls to his residence and gave them a room to set there and for boys remained seated outside and there l was now having much pain but only quite as l was now going to school and l rest, in the few minutes the chairperson had communicated the pastor where we had gone for the visit then from there we received a car from the school to come and pick us, it was accompanied by police from Kiwangala police post and there were armed. When we entered the car l was seated in front and the drive asked me that you must be the one they said he has died l said what!!? he said there were telling because what they said is true then l was now having all th pain and l started getting cold and marveled. when we reached the school My sister Esther was staying with me l saw her us at school on the phone call cal that Mr Emma is dead because the bus knocked him down and stayed on him for over an hour l said Glory be to God l have survived but she never saw me so when l got out of the vehicle the director of the school saw me and said" Mr Emma why did you go to the hospital can you enter the car and they take you to the hospital " l replied nothing only l released l was in the hospital having been injected twice and l was going to be injected the third time l asked why l was injected then l came to know l was knocked by the bus and l was feeling pain all over the whole body. good enough l asked the Doctor to make for me routine to come for the medication and he did so so l went home, and since l was having the love for the students l requested the head teacher to allow me teach while seated and the students were very happy when l was teaching them and l was very much glad for teaching them but it was painful and could not believe l could manage. thanks to God all the children passed in first Grade and what made e so sad was the time after me being discharged off the hospital my sister Esther run insane(mad) having started saying that "my brother Norman is going to be buried and yet for me am here in Masaka and he is going to be buried without me seeing him, this words were said by her for over three days and afterwards when the pastor prayed for her the she normalized and become OK" then the teaching went nicely having no relatives l started looking for where l could sleep since l was not granted when l talked to the friend and said fine he gave me the place in his boy's courts but to make some surprise l As l was admitted to the university l waited for the dates which were 19th/Sept/2004 and since l was new in Kampala on Government sponsorship l tried until received Nabulo has accepted to stay with me for the whole of the education at Makerere l said Glory be to God not knowing what may come out of that: sad and crying was the order of my ways at the place, when l reached Kampala at the trading l received a very nice welcome to my cousin sister who had taken long without seeing since 1995 up to 2004, l liked the place and l was so much loved by the family and my sister loved me so much that she could hardly leave me without money to make me eat at least a pancake at the university!! Grace loved me and said whatever l wanted l was free to ask and since l was not good at asking l could hardly do so but to my best of the skills l got from school l enjoyed staying at the home since l managed to be coaching some children during the evening hours. here come a rumour from the side of the husband who loved Grace saying that Grace is in Love with me (sexual affairs) l went and told her at her place of work (working as a Nanny with the whites from UK) and she said she heard of the rumour but she did not want to tell me because she feared l could react badly then l told her please what can l do?, and to my surprise l knew the man from the start when l was in my primary school and we were so friendly and he could also come home to find Grace in our home as our Adopted child but to my eyes and ears l found it worse. But before that l was the next of kin to here whenever we could be given money for eating during breakfast at school l was the one to carry and even buy any food stuff she could like, one time which made me so funny was the way l managed to get her out of the water logged area when she was trapped up in the pond. it was dung our senior two in 1994 when such water landslide occurred and left many people dead.she could go to her father's pale and get for me some food and we could take some time eating and playing together and making funny on the way before we could get home, one day Her father and the brother's started talking of that My father Nakhokho James was the husband to here and even started telling my Mother Nakhokho Gertrude that she was in love with him so that the mother should stop paying fees for here and she gets married in order for them( Her parents and brothers) to get money and dowry (pride prize) but my mother never liked that she said all is nothing and she also said no problem, but when m father came across the rumour he fumed up and started telling my mother that you are the one bringing all this problems in our family why can't you have the girl be Left and then she gets married for the parents to get dowry the mother kept quite and told him that no l have to help here and the father also never added any word again, from there the brothers and the father also gave up and said that this man( my father) is using my mother to con the girl for him, to make the situation so sad is when we were promoted to go to Senior three and after the end of 1st term and then back to second term most of my friends started telling me that your sister must have got pregnant then l told them your are deserving becoz l knew no body was in love with here since l was the only person she could tell her secrets then l also refuted some truth from the friends saying that when some one is pregnant she starts vomiting and even not eating food as usual l also released that and told her that my sister what is wrong this days becoz we used to eat posho at school nicely but she changed then she told me that most the days she has now lost appetite for food and she wants to stay at home, for me being so young all said l have nothing to do and l went home and l told my mother that Grace might y be pregnant becoz she does not eat foods this days and even does not be-lively like she used to be. my mother said may be she is sick becoz we hard the trust is her .so after the end of 2nd term she run away from home and went to Kenya where she was working as house girl, then after the holidays where finished she came back while still pregnant and trying to abort the child when the baby(foetus) was 7(seven months ) and the baby cried during delivery and l cried for having lost such a good baby when she was 7months,l could imagine having produced me at seven even that baby could have lived a normal life. s after the abortion Grace hide and never appeared at our home again. then my mother went to their pace and said please Grace when she comes back tel her to come and return to school all is ok l have no problem with her. but my daddy was not glad because the money was lost and misused. then Grace being so fearful she never came because my mother was so rush also and tough. Then from there Grace left Mbale and came to stay in Kampala.Good but but so much after two years Grace came up home with GOMEZI ( local cloth for mother worth U shs 50000=) and sad mammy am sorry l never did what you wanted me to do !! then my other said no problem then Grace said thanks very much for the advice and assistance you gave me am now Nursery school teacher in Kampala and l have the vision of going out of Uganda then my mother said please God bless you!! ten from there my mother was again happy for having Grace got a Job and then she was at east the parents and well of.that is when brothers of her said Grace is the light for their family and mos of them started asking for assistance and help from her, and she gave them. After having finished my Secondary school she came home and gave all of us gifts at home and we were very glad and happy. Father my way out of the high school l joined the college and never did l see her again until l finalised and started teaching.

Grace's husband make some thing bad on me, then l said sister if possible then let me go to my own house and stay alone but when she asked the man he refuted the request and said let Good enough there came a time when the employers of Grace were now going back to England she told me that am going away but l should be very careful with the man because he can easly Norman be here and we stay together there is now problem, l said fine and when the day to her going to UK came l was happy and glad and l even called my follower sister Esther Nakhayanze and we escorted her to Entebbe Air port it was around 14:30 hours and when we reached the Airport l and the sister came back and the driver and then for the husband remained at the air port and from there l was so pleased that at least she has tried her level best to attain a living, But to my surprise when the Husband came back he was a bit not happy and from there l felt so small in the house since l was the only person is the house so strangle l even feared eating food when it was kept just kept for me and l normally manged to be around whenever l was to eat from the house. but more so good was that the house girl was good and loved me so much that is why l managed to live in the house.Sad but safe there was the sister of the Husband who was used to be coming in the house and l heard of her saying that l had acquired HIV/AIDS and l had effected His brothers wife so that made me loss one time temper and quarreled with her and told her that you rather have to be very a careful l can do harm to you and from there l told my parents that am staying in Kampala but am not safe, then l was now very careful in terms of moving and eating, one of my friends told me that he is going to a shame the woman by abusing her and after three days he went and abused the woman and told her that when you try to kill Norman you wil be also killed and from there the boy started being sick and when he returned to the village the boy dead. And by then l had called Grace in UK explaining what was on the ground and she said l should be very careful about the ways l behave and she confirmed to me that when things intensify l need to go and tel our Aunt who was also staying in Kampala.

The Life to remember:-

Before l joined Makerere university Kampala l was teaching at my home area and funny enough l managed to bring up a school which was by then having 40 students and when l finished the college l persuaded my friend (Mr wabuko Mike) who accepted to join me and we develop the area funny enough the head teacher came to know that the number of the students was increasing and he started swindling funds from the office and one time we called up for a meeting and the Head teacher never turned up what we did we called for set down strike until the meeting is conveyed within five days of strike the the students reported to their parents that the teachers were not teaching so the parents intervened and then the head teacher came up n th meeting and when we asked him about the funds he fumed and we decided to tel him to leave the school and he refused so we told the bursar by then to tel us how much funds hard remained in the office house said 3600 ug shs(three thousand shillings only) we had nothing to do but share the money before nine (9) teachers and imagine everyone getting 400 Ug shs and it was so close to the end of the second term teachers left the house and the two of us felt pity for th candidate class which was going to set for senior four (S4) so what we did we said come over to our houses which shall teach you our subjects and make you pass good enough they managed to come over to learn and many of them passed in first grades there are now having jobs despite some who never made it suffer in the villages and many of them died(may their soul rest in peace). This gives me a feeling of helping children since l was born pre-mature(7months), and having passed through a difficulty moment of life.

WHENEVER l THINK OF IT I SHADE TEARS AND CRY 24HRS/7 DAYS and having passed through difficulty conditions/moments l believe and think children should be helped and attain a living. Being an orphan/needy child is not the will/fate of God or your living but due to natural conditions and calamities at times dictate and you find young kids abandoned and hence live lonely life this is the rampant feature in many African states ,like Uganda and Mbale in particular due to landslides and HIV AIDS. l hope and pray to have the heart of helping in order to make the disadvantaged children, youths, widows have a better life despite my ways of living are still low.l have been serving as a teacher since 2001 when l completed my Diploma in education secondary.I'm so much interested in helping orphans,Needy, youths, widows, and many groups of people who are under-privileged.l always try to be with people who are: Honest.obedient, committed, trusted, faithful, polite, well behaved and mannered l love to travel to distant places and study /learn new things, and make friendship all over the globe.l prefer visiting new places/countries and having too much of my time spend with children, orphans, needy people, youths, widows and many other people who can have ideas for developing the local communities. My personal experience of how friends help each other.l love to provide the Basic needs like feeding, buying cloths, water, salt, sugar, and many others.
