As the temple is dedicated to the self-formed Buddha statue of Qu Gu, it’s called Qugu Monastery. It’s in the Purang County of Ngari Prefecture and was built by the meditator of Nie Bo. There are many sacred attractions around this monastery, such as Nairobi conch on the rock, Ji Dung Spring Water, Elephant reclusive cave, Ding Ji zun pagoda and so on. It is said that the master of Guru Padmasambhava was practicing here. When you walk to the northwest from here, you will reach three peaks of Longevity along the narrow river valley. Crossing the Lagu River, you will continue to move forward. There is a colorful stream on the front side. The nearby peaks symbolize the Gongbun Palace and its companions like yak and hound dog.
