Annual Ongwediva Trade Fair[edit]
Ongwediva Trade Fair is one of the most notable events that take place every year in the town of Ongwediva in the Oshana region it has been taking place ever since the year 2000. It is one of the largest business exhibition and trade fairs in the country. Businesses and Industries get an opportunity to showcase their products and services to potential customers and clients.It normally starts end of august to the beginning of September.Exhibitors get more information about the Trade Fair from the Fact Sheets that include information such as venues, rates, and more information about the Trade Fair. The are many exhibition halls that can be used such as King Kauluma Hall, Queen Hall,Headman Hall as well as a Kiosk.The centre also provide halls for special conferences such as weddings, graduations and an open door for outdoor activities. [1] The trade Fair annually attracts many exhibitors both locally and internationally. [2] The Trade Centre covers an area of 94 965 m² (9,4965 ha).The staff members at the Trade Centre are employees of Ongwediva Town Council and are paid by Ongwediva Town Council while contractors rendering services at the Trade Centre are paid directly from the Trade Centre accounts.[3]
