Mathews Taapopi Hamutenya, popularly known as MTH, (born 27 December 1968 in Oshakati, Oshana) is a seasoned entrepreneur and a focused illegible leader. He is recognized internationally, and has a commendable record of accomplishments in the Namibian business environment, which is proven through the successes of his companies in a number of fields that includes Property Development and Management, Mineral exploration and processing, Consultancy and retail of Petroleum Products and Energy distribution. Millennium Group in collaboration with Marenica Energy, an Australian Mineral Company established a bursary scheme whereby deserving Namibians in the field of Geology and Engineering at higher institutions are assisted with funds to study full time. Beyond that, the company continues to fulfil its social corporate responsibility by donating towards the soccer and boxing association as well as other local sporting activities and building stronger ties with communities across Namibia. Awards and recognition[edit]

MTH has over the years, through his inspirational leadership concept received the Laureate of the Namibian Business Hall of Fame (2009) and participated in various Junior Achievement Namibia programmes, serving as mentor to young Inductees, acting as motivational speaker and addressing various business meetings and forums. Nouveau Leader Du future Crans Montana, Membership of Arab-Africa Business Council - New Leaders for Tomorrow (April 2010). Millennium Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd under his management also received the Century International Quality Era Award (March 2011) in Geneva. Awarded the Business Initiative Directions Award BID (2011). MTH business acumen and strategic planning is very overwhelming. Following the financial debacles of National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), he was appointed by Cabinet to assist in the strategic turnaround, which placed the corporation in a positive footing once again.He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Board of NAMCOR, after serving in different capacityof the Board since 2010. He holds Directorship and interest in over 20 different companies, and was recently appointed as a member to the World Energy Council: Namibia Member Committee of the (WEC) by the Minister of Mines and Energy.
