This article is simply just informing its readers on what orienteering is and how it works. All of the different parts of the article seem to be well written and each section is represented equally.

  • Is the article neutral?
  • Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?
  • Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
  • Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another?

A couple sources would not load but others did. The article's facts are backed by reliable sources which include the International Orienteering Federation, Orienteering USA, and the British Orienteering Federation.

The article is very well organized and written. As well as it was easy to read and lacked grammatical errors. It was also broken down into easy to read sections that were all labeled.

Guiding questions

The pictures within the article allow for a better understanding because they are offering a visual representation of certain things like a control point as well as how the topographical maps that are used look. Also the pictures used adhere to the copyright regulations and are positioned next to or by a topic that was just described.

  • Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic?
  • Are images well-captioned?
  • Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations?
  • Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?

I believe that the article is fairly well written and well-organized. I believe that the author should add some information about how JROTC schools actually have orienteering teams as well as how the Boy and Girl Scouts participate. The article gives a good background of the roots of orienteering and describes many different kinds of courses you could run.
