Edundja village[edit]

Introduction[edit]

My villege is called Edundja,It is situated in the northern part of Namibia Ohangwena region and it is approximately 15km eastof Oshikango and it is closer to the Angolian border.It has the population of approximately 3000 inhabitants. Edundja is well known for its active role in politics and being the home village of several political leaders which includes the minister of work transport and communication honorabble Errik Ngimtina,formar nampower managing director Dr Leack Hangala,RDP information secretary Mr Jerremia Nambinga and other more respective persons There are two schools which caters for all children from the neighboring villages a clinic and a church. The schools are Edundja primary school which has grade 1 to 7, and Edundja junior secondary which has grade 8 to 10 .[1]

Effects of flood[edit]

It is closer to Angola and this cause the flood during the rainy season as the water flows from the rivers in Angola and it brings some positive and negative effects to the villagers[2]. People can benefit as they catch barble fish and sell them to get something to help them to meet their daily needs. It has some impacts on them as it will destruct their daily activities ,it will be hard for the people to get to the clinic and go to other places such as Oshikango.School kids won’t be able to go to school and their cross the water during cold mornings which leads to them to drop out of school.

Infrastructure[edit]

Edundja is a village with an amazing infrastructure such as affordable water, electricity and gravel roads.These services are usually a big problem to many villages. The infrastructure has enable the operation of the school and businesses to run smoothly.Edunja is closer to Oshikango hence the great business opportunity in few years to come will increase. Infrustructure is seen to be useful but yet cannot be siad that is that is enough. the village are up to date ,the roads are tarred and there is a supply of clean water and the electricity is available and this made it easy for schools to operate and to have an up to date technology[3]
