The Green Zionist Alliance (GZA) is a nonprofit organization, based in the United States, that works to:

  • Educate and mobilize a Diaspora voice for Israel’s environment;
  • To support Israel’s environmental movement;
  • To improve environmental practices within the world Zionist movement and it’s constituent agencies;
  • To inspire people to work for change.

Founded in 2001 as the first environmental party at the World Zionist Congress. The GZA has won representation at the last two Congresses (2002 & 2006) and used those opportunities to appoint three environmental leaders to the Board of the Keren Kayemet L'Yisrael.

The Green Zionist Alliance is a member of the American Zionist Movement, and has worked in partnership with Mercaz/Masorti, Ameinu, Hazon, the Jewish National Fund and more.

Founding members includes Alon Tal, Eilon Schwartz and Rabbi Michael Cohen. Ongoing leadership includes Noam Dolgin & David Krantz.
