Neelima Walia (born 18th August 1987, India), is currently studying at the University of Ottawa in Canada, doing her Masters in E-Business Technologies. She did her undergraduate degree in Bachelors of Engineering in Information Technology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India(2005-2009)[1]. She was one of the founder members of the organisation Youth United [2]. She served as the Human Resources Head for the organisation for the tenure December 12,2007 till December 2008.[3] During her college years in Panjab University, she was actively involved in community events like Smiling Future[4], candle light vigils against female foeticide, women empowerment, global warming under Youth United. She has also been a member of the Rotaract Club UIET for 2 consecutive years. She served as the Director of Community Services[5] for the same and organised events like Dose of Hope, Tree Plantation Drive under the same organisation.[6]
