This word is derived by combining a greek prefix (Neuro- sinew, tendon or nerve) and a german suffix (schaft[1]- ship). Individuals involved in the study of Neural engineering, Neurotechnology, Neuro cybernetics, Neuroprosthetics, Computational neuroscience and Neuroinformatics can also be called as Neuroschaftlers. Therefore it is a more specialized term instead of a generic term 'Neuroscientist' or 'Neurobiologist'.
