Zero Found is an American indie rock band from Denver, Colorado consisting of Seth Thomas (lead vocals), Matthew Charnin (lead guitar), Max Comer (rhythm guitar), Juan Varela (bass) and Alex Moeller (drums).
History[edit]
Formation (2015)[edit]
Zero Found was formed in late 2015 in Denver, Colorado.
Zero Found performed their first show at Lion’s Lair on Friday, August 14, 2015. at 9:00 PM. The following Sunday, lead guitarist Matthew Charnin broke his fretting hand and the band was forced to go on hiatus for almost 6 months. During this time, the band practiced very little and did not write any new material. Zero Found’s second show would occur on Thursday, February 11, 2016 on a bill featuring canadian artist Sarah Burton and local denver band Spies!. Around this time, Zero Found announced that they were going to release their debut EP at their upcoming headlining show at Larimer Lounge on March 3rd, 2016. [1]
The Tomorrow EP (2016)[edit]
The Tomorrow EP was recorded by the band using budget recording equipment at lead vocalist Seth Thomas' apartment in Denver, Colorado.[2]
On March 3rd, Zero Found performed at Larimer Lounge with Box, Sir Captain and West Side Saints to an audience of just over 100 guests. The band distributed 50 copies of their debut EP for free to all in attendance. As of May 2016, the band has released their debut EP on Spotify. [3]
EP Artwork[edit]
Seth Thomas and Matthew Charnin decided that they would create the debut EP artwork using linocut block printing. One video and several photos detailing the creation of the EP artwork were posted to Facebook and Twitter to promote their EP release. Lead vocalist Seth Thomas wrote an article on Reddit detailing the process. [4]
