A physics graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge, UK; Nigel Harris feels that worthy projects should attract donations of server space & bandwidth, though they inevitably also threaten the powerbase of somebody, somewhere. Considering the oil we have burnt, our civilisation should have advanced much more. We should decide grander matters through a world parliament, elected through a modern system that incentivises the electorate to get involved, by neither wasting one single vote, nor ignoring one intelligent contribution.
