RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS AND INTERESTS Doctoral research was focused on online and offline enrichment strategies based on solid phase extraction prior to flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric determination of traces of inorganics which involved the development of several materials suitable for using as column materials in FIA/IC. Involved in the development of drug delivery system based on imprinting technique for the controlled release of metal-based therapeutic agents. Currently handling several time bound projects regarding the analysis of food, fish, fuel oil, biodiesel, fertilizers, polymers, soil, edible oil, drinking and waste water, spices and herbs etc with Flame AA, Graphite furnace AA, ICP-OES and ICP-MS. Also worked on the speciation of inorganic using FIAS and AAS/ICP.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

10 years including the 4 & 1/2 years research experience during PhD at National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST),CSIR, Trivandrum 695 019, India. Expertise in, 1.Flow injection analysis of geological and environmental samples. 2.Inorganic speciation. 3.Atomic Absorption spectroscopy (Including Flame, Graphite furnace, hydride generation and cold vapor techniques). 4.Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. 5.Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry 6.Speciation using LC-ICPMS and FIA-AAS 7.Hyphenation between flow injection analyzing system and AAS/ICP. 8.Synthesis and characterization of ion imprinted polymers to be used in on line pre-concentration of trace metal ions. 9.Sample preparation for trace inorganic analysis using open digestion, extraction and microwave digestion. 10.Drafted and published many application notes at PerkinElmer. 11.Has trained many people in PerkinElmer for using FAAS/GFAAS/ICP/ICPMS etc. 12.Trained customers in middle east countires on ICPMS, LC-ICPMS, ICPOES, FAAS, GFAAS etc. who were from petro/pharma/academic/oil and gas/lube oil/food/agriculture segments 10. Reviewed many articles done by the application teams in India and China (for PerkinElmer). 11. Has done many oral and poster presentations in India and abroad. 12. Has done several webcasts at PerkinElmer. 12. Has been associated with PerkinElmer R&D for the New Product Introduction for

     AAS and ICP-OES.
