Dragonfly's are an Aquatic larval insect. Their lower jaw is scoop like and covers most of their face. They eat small aquatic insects and animals. Their gills are located in their rectum and they breath by pumping water in and out of their hind end. They can also use this to propel themselves forward. When they Reach maturity, they crawl out of the water and shed their skin. adult females deposit eggs directly onto the surface of the water, starting the life cycle over.[1]
