Nupur Joshi is an Indian actress of television, film and stage. She is most popular for superhit television show Rakhi - rishton ki atoot door (2007) which aired on ZeeTV where she played leading lady Raj-Nandini. For this Film Farm produced show Rakhi, Nupur Joshi received many acclaims and also bagged an award for 'the best behen' in Zee TV Rishtey Awards (2007), against her screen borther played by Ayyub Khan as Raja Thakur.
Nupur Joshi initiated her acting career in 2003, through a then famed show Khushiyan of Time Magnetics private limited that aired on DD National, where in she played the parallel lead role as Preeti. After that She bagged a promising part of the multi-starer and social issue based detective show, Jasoos Vijay (2002) by BBC World Service Trust which aired on DD National, narrated by Om Puri. In Jassos Vijay season 2 and 3 she potrayed the role of Parvati as an inquisitive budding detective only to join Jasoos Vijay and his team, later. In (2009), Nupur Joshi was also seen playing a prominent parallel lead role as 'Summi' in the famous Indian television show Do Hanson ka Jodaa by Rajshree production which a was aired on NDTV imagine.
Nupur Joshi has also appeared in many other popular Indian television shows, performing likeable cameos like in Kumkum (2007) of BAG Films (Star Plus) as 'Missri', Baat hamari Pakki hai (2010) of DJ's productions (Sony TV) as 'Mandira', Yeh Rishta kya Kehlata Hai of Directors Kut (Star Plus) as 'Soumya'. Her other notable TV work also include CID of Fireworks (SonyTV), Aahat of Fireworks (Sony TV) to name a few.
In 2013, she was seen playing a peppy and care free character of 'Esha' for the Dharma productions Bollywood feature film, Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, that had lead star actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and was directed by Ayyan Mukherjee.
She has also been a part of major advertising campaigns with brands like Nissan Micra, Cobra Soda, Exo dishwasher, LG Air conditioner, Cafe coffee Day, Nescafe Coffee, Tapzo, Britannia 50/50 and others.
She has also worked in appreciated short films like Dastaan1970, U-turn among others.
Personal life[edit]
Nupur Joshi is married to an army man Major Sunil Pundir. They got married on the 17th of November in the year 2013 after being in a happy relationship for a long time. Before they had met each other, Nupur Joshi had voiced her desire to a friend about wanting to marry an army soldier. This friend who was a friend of Major Sunil Pundir insisted that they both meet.
