Born 01/04/1992, Gifted with natural talent from both parents, his mother holds numerous Australasian Titles and still the reigning New Zealand Record Holder Of the most hole in ones (11).(2009), Gene's Father, Richard Ellis was the youngest ever Australian Carded PGA Professional Golfer with 26 Tour wins and 87 top 10 placings, He Was Also President of The PGA Australasia and late 2008 he was inducted in to the golf hall of fame.

The multi talented individual holds 2 Australasian junior golf titles won in 2002 and 2003, the youngest back to back champion to date.(2004). At the age of 13 Mr Ellis was the youngest North Harbour junior Representative. Mr Ellis Holds The title of the biggest winning margin in north island match play championship history 17.5pts - .5 . (2005).

Late 2005 Gene halted his golfing career, To adventure in to other various sports such as Track and field attaining 2 national wins for bay-Olympic athletics, from there branching into North shore swimming wining 3 individual Titles and 4 Team Titles including 2 national level wins. In 2006 Mr Ellis returned back to golf and was Coached by Richard Ellis (Father) who lead Gene to 3 North Harbour Club Titles, 1 Club championship title, and another North Harbour Junior Championship Title.

In Early 2007 after Gene had Returned from the junior world championship in Melbourne with a disqualification, The young rising sports star was inducted into Peter Snells institute of sport New Zealand, directed under Nigel Avery, who lead Gene to the national Trans-Tasman Games where he was placed highly in 4 divisions but unfortunately no wins.

In 2008 Gene yet again put aside his Golfing Career as he Attended Rangitoto College. Gene was influenced on to the Rugby Union scene, New to the sport he was selected and played his first ever international match against the Japanese national boys, despite losing Gene Scored The opening Try. In 2009 Mr Ellis Qualified To play the Under 20 Golf World Cup in Adelaide along with his Team Memebers Joshua Alderton, Kody Okabey and Stewart Gray. Placing a remarkable 10th In the World. NZIS Wrote a Article to the north shore times mentioning Gene Ellis as a "Super Athlete" a Title that only a hand full of New Zealanders have been classed as.


2010-2012 Gene Qualified for the Fijian open as an Amateur Leading the field with an astonishing score of -4 after 2 rounds, he then went on to place second. (Fijitime.co.fiji) For News Article.

2011. Gene Branched off yet again into another sport this time Rugby League , never have playing the game before he attended the Auckland Colts Trial as a replacement to and injured player, Yet again Mr Ellis shocking the sporting world by scoring the opening try and converting 6 of 5 conversions, he later went through the next 4 trials scoring 36 points for his team and converting a amazing 19 of 22 conversion/penalties, 2 months later the Rookie was selected to play for the New Zealand Junior Warriors, but unfortunately ruled out in the second match against Wellington Orcas with a collapsed inner foot.
