General notes[edit]

Current template headings all have a tricolour appearance produced by adding coloured top & bottom borders, of the first two non-white colours listed in the infobox, to a white background. Teams with only a single non-white colour use it for both top & bottom.

Similar sets[edit]

It may not be possible to make all the three-colour sets obviously unique, but by using an additional light colour, where available, instead of white, some of the existing near-duplicates could be disambiguated. The most common first two colours are red & black, used by four teams:

Here the Carolina colours look slightly different; for some reason they‘ve been assigned a darker red than the others, and a dark grey instead of black. At any rate, they and Ottawa could be distinguished by adding secondary colours, although no such option is available for either New Jersey or Chicago:

It will be necessary to confirm there’s sufficient contrast to satisfy accessibility guidelines; if a secondary colour is too dark it might be lightened to a suitable tint.
