Cheauv is a vocalist and songwriter from Portmore, Jamaica. He started consuming music when he moved to New York. It was a friend who was impressed with his playlist selections, that suggested he should make music, and he’s been writing ever since. It wasn’t until January 2021, he decided to release one of those projects, a single called TeleViV. A song drenched in emotion, smooth vibes, and impeccable wordplay, which is a reflection of his sound. He coins the term “The 9 night” which is a Caribbean tradition that reflects on the life of someone that has passed. In this case, he’s reflecting on passed experiences and how he’s grown.
