BIOGRAPHY

Okumu Bornett was born April 24 1990 (Tuesday), the third child of Lumumba Patrick Oyath and Lanyero Alice Kibesa. He was born in Awer Gul-Okano village, Palema Parish, Lamogi Sub-County, Kilak County Amuru District (Gulu by then).

His siblings are;

1) A nameless baby boy, who died a few days after birth. 2) Susan (died of yellow fever) 3) OKUMU BORNETT. 4) Akello Lillian. 5) Adong Winnie Lumumba. 6) Ayubu Fiona Forgiveness. 7) Oroma Mercy Patricia 8) Oketayot Brian.

He is descended from Yocua(Joshua) Ongom Ajala- migrated to Awer from Mutema. His only son Virijino Oyat Lacung wedded Achiro Madelena in 1958. The two parented Lumumba Patrick Oyath on July 1 1964. Ajala died of Syphilis in 1968 from Awer, where his son burried him. Bornett's mother Alice, was a daughter to a famous man also called Yocua from Pakiri.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND

Bornett started schooling in 1996 from Keyo Primary School, when he was only 6 years old. He ignored the school due to long distance and cruelty by the class leaders.
The family shifted to St. Mary's centre Lacor during the period insurgency in 1996. After passing an interview, he began to study from Christ the King Demonstration Primary School from 1997 to 2004 when he sat for PLE.
In 2005, he was admitted to Gulu High School where he studied to S.3 (2007), where he was spotted among holigans who nearly burnt down the school during a strike.
In 2008, he transfered to Gulu Central High School after being rejected by two schools, that is Keyo secondary school and Pope John Paul II college.
In that year, he sat for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
In 2010, he was Admitted to Sir. Samuel Baker School. From the school, he offered a science combination PCB/M. The following year, he sat for Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in 2010.
In 2011, he joined Lacor school of Medical Laboratory Technology. He graduated in 2013.

WORKING EXPERIENCE.

As far as the medical profession is concerned, Bornett did his internship from St. Mary's Hospital Lacor from July 2013 until August, after which he went to Gulu 4th Division Military Hospital from where he worked until September 2013. On 14/09/2013, he was recruited in the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). The training was done from Kaweweta School of Military Perfection located in Nakaseke District. On 02/07/2013, his lot was commisioned by HE. General Yuweri Kaguta Museveni. He passed out a private soldier. Bornett was deployed in Nakasongola Air Defence Division Headquaters.
