The concept originated nearly 6 years ago around the idea of combining enterprise based "cloud" software systems with front end web designs separated primarily by what you want the user to see and what you do not want the user to see. PIME is the result of SAUX - Software As a User eXperience - the evolution of Software As a Service.

The relationship between SAUX and PIME can be best defined as the difference between the cause (SAUX) and the effect (PIME). Typically industry experts and category leaders contract with a SAUX provider to help best manage day to day activities of their business. The net result of the interactivity and actions taken is the conversion of those activities and interactions into a public facing, interactive web experience for their customers, and their customers' customers.
