I am a first-year medical student from Mexico City. I came upon this particular activity, editing Wikipedia, as a requirement for my Medical English course (taught by User:Thelmadatter). This project however, has really caught my attention and I find it to be not only interesting, but also a possible potential tool for improving my English.

In the almost two decades I have lived, I have not yet done anything worthy enough to be mentioned, except maybe, surviving IB (which stands for International Baccalaureate) for my high school years. Even though those supposedly “golden days” were sometimes filled of stress and sleep-deprived days, I am confident to say that all the hard work has paid off as not only my outlook for life, but also myself, as a human being, have changed and grown for the best.

As for what I want for my future… That is still uncertain, as it always is when talking about things other than the present. Just the decision regarding to my major was made somewhat chaotically, as I was also interested in everything related with International Relations. As a now medical student, my dream is to be able to end up working for a NGO or an organization dedicated to public health and research, and in a utopia, the World Health Organization or even the United Nations itself. I will work hard to try and achieve this or anything close to it.
