Palazzo Mastelli, also referred to as Palazzo del Camello, is a palace in the Cannaregio sestiere of Venice, Italy. It is located along the Rio Madonna dell'Orto, off of Campo dei Mori'.
History
[edit]The property was originally purchased by three merchant brothers, Rioba, Sandi, and Afani, who had come to Venice from Peloponnesia in 1112 and taken the name Mastelli. The brothers Mastelli are traditionally associated with four statues in Campo dei Mori', three depicting the brothers and one their servant. Construction on the palace began in the 12th Century.
