A slower heart rate, slower breathing, and lower blood pressure are all physiological changes that make possible the process of falling asleep and staying asleep. Sleep quality in adults improve significantly, when sleep routines are consistently paired with slower tempo music for more than 30 minutes.[1] This boost in sleep quality can also see a decrease in wake disturbances.[2]
