Patrick George Williams (born April 17, 1988) is an Australian journalist. He is currently in his first role as a reporter for the Tweed Daily News in Northern New South Wales. Prior to entering the industry full time, Patrick completed more than 200 hours of work experience.
He lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland.he completed his senior school certificate in 2005, when he also served as one of the school's prefects.
Patrick is a 2008 graduate of Griffith University with a Bachelor of Communication.
He is also a avid fan and collector of comic book character Batman.
Early Life[edit]
Born in Hobart, Tasmania, he is the eldest of three children Ben (born 1990) and Lauren (born 1995).Seven years later, he relocated to the Gold Coast when his father, a computer scientist, received work at subscription television station Austar. Patrick attended Mudgreeaba Creek State School for Year 4, before moving to Robina State Primary School for the remainder of his primary school education.
In 2001, Patrick commenced studies at Merrimac State High School, where His first job was as a service cashier and grocery assistant at Woolworths, Robina between November 2004 and May 2008.
Journalism[edit]
Patrick earned his first job as a reporter while still studying in his final year of university studies. In April 2008, he commenced full time work at the Tweed Daily News.
