My name is Pats Pena

I am passionate about international grassroots empowerment movements, microfinance and organizations that support intercultural understanding. I was born in Brazil, have graduated from PUCRS with a degree in Communications, and have lived in Europe (Belgium), Asia (India) and Latin America (Brazil). And paraphrasing Voltaire: 'I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it'.

I also am the Global Fundraising Operations Manager for the Wikimedia Foundation, where my job is to make our Fundraiser more accessible to donors by researching and implementing the preferred payment options worldwide, in the most effective way. I'm also involved in localizing the donation pages so donors have the best donation experience ever when they decide to support the Wikimedia Foundation's mission.

I mostly contribute with translations and small edits.
