I think that Manchester united have the best record of 20 premier league wins and that they have the best overall win in the Barclays premier league and arsenal coming second. Manchester united football club is a professional football club based in old Trafford, greater Manchester, England, that plays in the premier league. Founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902 and moved to Old Trafford in 1910. The first ever Manchester united was Ernest Magnall who was the first manager from 1900 - 1912.

Following the league's dissolution after only one season, Newton Heath joined the newly formed Football Alliance, which ran for three seasons before being merged with the Football League. This resulted in the club starting the 1892–93 season in the First Division, by which time it had become independent of the rail company and dropped the "LYR" from its name. After two seasons, the club was relegated to the Second Division. Manchester United was formed in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club by the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) depot at Newton Heath. The team initially played games against other departments and rail companies, but on 20 November 1880, they competed in their first recorded match; wearing the colors of the railway company – green and gold – they were defeated 6–0 by Bolton Wanderers' reserve team. By 1888, the club had become a founding member of The Combination, a regional football league. United have won 20 league titles (a record), 11 FA Cups (a record), four League Cups, three European Cups and a European Cup-Winners' Cup. Liverpool have won 18 league titles, seven FA Cups, eight League Cups (a record), five European Cups (a record for an English team) and three Uefa Cups. The UEFA Champions League is the ultimate club competition in European football. Manchester United have won the trophy three times, in 1968, 1999 and 2008. United first played in the European Cup in 1956. Manchester united have entered the Europa league however they have won the champions league 3 times. They were the first English club to enter European competition, entering the European Cup in 1956. Since then, the club has competed in every UEFA- organized competition, with the exception of the now-defunct Intertoto Cup.
