Hello, I’m joining Wikipedia so that I can contribute to a page that has been written about my father – and to join in whatever else comes along. My father was a freshwater biologist from Hull, my mother was a botanist from the Vale of Evesham and I ended up as a careers adviser in Lancashire. Nowadays I tick the “retired” box if I need to, but I’m also a home haemodialysis assistant, museum volunteer and occasional exam invigilator. I bake, I sew and I knit toys, twiddlemuffs and little yellow ducks.
