The Gates of Paradise refers to a series of emblems engraved by William Blake in 1793, which were published as For Children: The Gates of Paradise. Sometime before around 1818, Blake reworked the engravings and added accompanying poems, publishing it as For the Sexes: The Gates of Paradise.
