Torah Study

The Tree of LifeProverbs 3:18 It is a tree of life to those who grasp it, And whoever holds on to it is happy.

A tree grows tall and is used for many different things all in which provide some sort of life. TheTorah is the same way. A person that wishes to find life in Messiah and have a relationship with G-d must cling and desire His Word and grasp the deep life that it provides so that he will be full in all that he does.

When all is said and done and our lifes records are opened, and we will see if we feared G-d and did what we were insrtucted to do. Ecclesiastes says this well:

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

The instructions in the written Word must be observed because through Yeshua, G-d made us righteous. We must not do the commandments to make ourselves righteous, we must do it in faith and not out of duty. We should want to; not have to.

The Law is Truth John 18:37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Yeshua answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

John 18:38 Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?"

The word Truth is clearly defined as the Law. We must know what Yeshua was communicating in these few verses. This is the reason messiah was sent and the reason he came, which is, to "BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH".

Let's let the Torah speak for its self.

Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness. Your Law is truth.

Psalm 119:151 You are near, YHVH. All your mitzvot [commandments] are truth.

Psalm 119:160 Your word is truth.

Hear we have 3 definitions of TRUTH. 1) The Law; 2) the Commandments; 3) The Word.

The written Word is what Yeshua came to bear witness to and if we are of the written truth and what it contains then we can and will hear his voice. Without any of the above we are lacking the ability to hear (shema) the voice that guides us. The TORAH is TRUTH, and the only way to reach this understanding is to see it for yourself.
