Tests of equation formatting.

On other wiki servers, I've had problems with the "not equal" symbol being rendered as "equal". But when I test it here on wikipedia, equations are properly formatted with either the Mathjax renderer or PNG renderer (set in Special:Preferences, in the Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers. For example, <math> 1 \neq 0 </math> is properly rendered as:

$1\neq 0$

Test of line breaking for long equations: Some wiki servers or browsers don't break lines around a long equation properly, for example $1/(1+exp(-i\pi ))=\infty +\exp(-1/\epsilon )$. Instead they will let the equation run off the end of the page. But this equation works fine on wikipedia when viewed from the Firefox, Chrome, or Safari browsers, with either the PNG or Mathjax renderer.

Do the Wikipedia math formatters properly distinguish between a standard text v, a math italic $v$, and a Greek nu, $\nu$? The answer is yes thankfully.
