An innate curiosity coupled with a strong lack of perseverance led Jean-Marc Plumauzille to work in a whole host of areas: plastic arts, illustration, graphic design, décors, animation, public teaching, the Louvre library, preparing aromatized oils and vinegars and even artificial aromas and fragrances. Jean-Marc Plumauzille also turned his hand to experimenting with patisserie creations and to aiding in the audio description of films and plays for the blind. Parisian born, Jean-Marc has been profoundly influenced by his travels to Brazil and by Egypt, where, surprisingly, he has never actually set foot. The artist moved to Montreal in 1998 where he is still remembered for his unique creations of 'cardboard houses'. In 2007 he returned to Paris believing to this day that travel, both interior and exterior, should not stop here. Nothing surprising for someone who has upheld as an important maxim: "leaving is of greater importance than arriving". A maxim that, had his many employers been aware, would have made them wary of the artist's intentions...
