My Life

[edit]

My name is Patrick Mahon and I attend Georgia Southern University. I was born in New York, moved to Virginia Beach when I was two, and later moved to Atlanta just two years ago. I tend to have very interesting experiences in my life and rarely find myself bored. I play guitar, lacrosse, swim, longboard, surf, and play a little tennis here and there. I find I have the most fun when im around others so I would consider myself a people person. I love to make people laugh and simply just have a good time. I have a summer job as a lifeguard and have been doing it for 4 years now. I have an awesome family and a crazy puppy named Hazel who I love to death.

My Regards Toward Technology

[edit]

I find myself to be very aware of advances in technological equipment and how to use it correctly, however I still find some difficulty with certain programs. I use technology a lot as most people do but I wouldn't consider myself a tech genious by any means. I took two computer classes in my life one was a typing class in middle school, the other was a broad computer skills class in high school. I find technology to be beneficial for everyone as well as keeping up with events around the world.

Wikipedia

[edit]

I feel that wikipedia is a great site that should be used in all english classes. All of the sceptics will tell you that anyone can write whatever they want on wikipedia making it an unreliable rescource. I find that to be complete nonsense considering the site carefully monitors everything that is added. Not to mention I haven't seen one article on wikipedia that had false information written in it. Wikipedia has almost everything you could want to research and the fact that we have to use other sites to find information for classes is just a waste of time in my opinion.

Contributions to Wikipedia

[edit]

I created the page on Peter Townend an Australian professional surfer and made several minor contributions to other articles. I have learned to like wikipedia a lot more and will most likely make contributions to the site in the near future.

Languages spoken

[edit]

I speak English and I took 3 years of Spanish in high school. I have forgotten pretty much every bit of Spanish since then considering I was not too good at it to begin with.
