Er Paras Nath Rai An engineer with Uttar Pradesh govt for more than 33 years ,working in irrigation Deptt for construction and maintenance of Lift Irrigation Schemes such as 1.narayanpur pump canal 2. Deokali pump canal 3. Zamania pump canal 4.Son pump ,all four stages 5.Kamala Nehru pump canal so many other canals . He belongs to a Freedom Fighter /an agricultural family of Distt. BALLIA ,village Karnai,in U.P. His father Gauri Shankar Rai was a freedom fighter ,member of UP assembly/ council and Member of Parliament also.

He studied at Govt Inter College Ballia( Govt. High School,then),Jumna Christian Inter College Allahabad,Allahabad University and finally graduated from BIT. He is a Mechanical Engineer ,from B.I.T. Mesra RANCHI ,a deemed university.

He joined and worked with M/S HSCL,a Govt Undertaking at Scooter Factory at Lucknow,ALIMCO at Kanpur and Obra for erection of 500 MW thermal unit's boiler as Assistant Mechanical Engineer ,from June 1973 to March 1977,and resigned due to family and political reasons.Then joined UP IRRIGATION at Varanasi in March 1977.
