JOURNEY DIFFERS!

Dear Friend,

I used to wonder with rapt amazement why we are who we are. While some reads billions in the balance sheet in their 20s many still queue for their pension at age 70.

People around us, as I have just discovered prefer to share or celebrates doom of others than successes and achievements of their neighbours/friends /foe and contemporaries.

Little do we know that celebrating success(es) either for ourselves or others brings good tidings to our state of health. For instance, on Facebook alone, only a meagre of 5percent of contacts occasionally read and click "Like , comment or share" any good news with friends. The remaining 95 percent will do nothing after reading, but read,like and share unpleasant news. A point in reference was this popular statement " MY OGA AT THE TOP" reaching over 400,000 through Channels TV alone and the recent Immigration stampedes news, which is everywhere including the international communities.

What's more Friend, if I may ask, is it our nature to be sad about other's achievement(s)? Or is this owing to inferiority complex? Which ever way, today, I brought good news to you, that is, YOU ARE THE BEST OF YOUR KIND! No matter your present situation.

I am today not speaking as a preacher rather, as a concerned entity who knows a truth and over the years have been living on that truth.

No two persons can be equal in strength or

Weaknesses ( as scientifically proved) not even twins that are born by a single mother, the same day. Neither would two people carries equal destinies. Although, road to a destination may be the same,certainly purpose(s) differs. We are who we are , because of the beliefs we carry of ourselves.

Permits me to share a story with you:

There once lived two good friends , Hope and Comfort. The friends were told by a Prophet that they are born great but one will be greater than the other. Now, the Prophet told them to go to a particular place and directs that once they reach that place, Hope should move Westward while Comfort should move Northward.

They embarked on the journey on the 10th of January that same year with much drives and motivation. They got to the first point of departure at the same time . Now, they did as advised by the clergy. Hope moved Westward while Comfort moved Northward. Exactly 30days after ( in February) Hope reached his destination . He saw a Bungalow , occupied by 5 inmates ( waiting humbly to serve the master) and guided by two hefty security men. Two Jeeps and an Escort Pickup were packed inside the compound with 20m naira wasting away in an account for the use of King Hope. Within few hours, all were transferred to Hope since he was from birth ordained for this purpose.

Hope was happy and in his magnanimity remembered his best friend "Comfort" who went Northward. He ordered two of his messengers to look for him- give him cloth, food and water.

On getting to Comfort, he was happy to receive the gifts and also congratulates heartily with his friend (Hope) who reached his destination just in few weeks. The messengers left , Comfort became dishearten and sent these rhetorical questions to God : why do you make my journey to be this long?why can't you make my journey to be like that of Hope? I hate you God because this sufferness is too much for me! But yet, he kept walking towards the North!

After 6 months, he couldn't reach his destination, a news reached him again that Hope has been crowned and to rule over some 200people. He became confused . Not long after which Hope sent his men to him that he has been appointed Chief of Staff in his Kingdom. Comfort was so happy about this news and began to prepare for Hope's palace at moonlight . He slept for that night but had a dream " YOU ARE ALMOST HOME-DON'T LOOK BACK!" He woke up and continued moving Northward.

For the next 6,7,8,10,20,30, and 36 months he was not yet home. Yet the news of Hope's greatness was everywhere!

And so, there was an heavy rain , accompanied by flood. Tattered Comfort was caught within it and all within him was silenced . Until he saw himself (after been rescued) in the midst of over 5m healthy looking people whom for many years claimed to have waited patiently for him!

What! Comfort a tattered man is being waited for ? Incredible! They explained how the prophesy was received many years ago that flood will bring him . He was immediately taken to his palace , having over 5m subjects, 500 workers , 200 towns under him,1500 rooms, 200 brown new cars, a Jet, 2 Ships, 50 healthy Horses and over 10billion naira cash in his balance sheet- all at the king's service . He was crowned and remained the most powerful emperor of his time. All because he was PATIENT and FIRM!

Now , he would have missed all that if he took Hope's appointment .

Facts from the story:

1. Prices to each destinations differs !

2. While little destinies requires (at least in most cases) little efforts , prices for greater achievements are also enormous .

3. Hope duration to his destination was short as his greatness was little compared to Comfort's whose journey was longer and greatness was greater! Which means, if you want more , put more.

Finally Friend, lets see life as a Chapter , while some are already in the last chapter, some are just getting to open the first page of the first chapter. And so, lets join others in celebrating and shun the propagation of unpleasant news . And hope in the providence of God, that by so doing, a better day will come in the morrow . So that , we will be happy, focused and live in our dreams!
