Palesha Goverdhan, (Nepali: पलेशा गोवर्धन, born July 25, 2003 in Bagbazar, Kathmandu) is a 18 yrs female Nepalese Para Taekwondo Olympic Athlete. On August 24, 2021 at the opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, Goverdhan was the flagbearer for Nepal. She is only the first Para Taekwondo Athlete from Nepal participating in Tokyo 2020 Paralympics after the Para-taekwondo has been introduced and permitted in Paralympics games. She won Bronze medal in 4th Asian Para-Taekwondo Championship in 2018, Vietnam and Gold medal in 2nd Kathmandu Kyorugi & Poomsae International Taekwondo Championship in 2018. She had travelled to many countries such as South Korea, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Turkey, Jordan and competed in the countries. She is the 1st Dan Black belt from Kukkiwon South Korea & Nepal Taekwondo Association (NTA) - 2019
School
Goverdhan started primary school from Dreamland Public High School to DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School and completed CBSE grade 10. She is now studying in grade 12 Science stream at Uniglobe SS College, Kathmandu.
She is now preparing for Tokyo 2020 Paralympics for Para-Taekwondo games under 58 KG weight, K44 category going to be held in Japan on 3rd Sept, 2021. She has earned the wild card for Tokyo 2020 Paralympics games
