Festival Proti proudu in Moravské Budějovice is a cultural festival organized by a civic association K4. The festival has a long tradition - it has been working since 1997, that makes it one of the oldest events of this type in the region of Vysočina. PP has evolved from a small local event for local fans to the festival, which more than two thousand people visit during one weekend. Promoters still uphold humanitarian ideas and annually donate the festival profits to organizations that deal with socially disadvantaged people. Over 250 thousand crowns has been referred during last eleven years. One of the advantages of the festival is a unique space of an open-air cinema, which creates a "family" atmosphere and differs PP from the common "grass field" festivals. Attendance is between 2 and 3 thousand people.
