Pumpkin Apple (Sandy Michaels) was born in Freewheeling, Vermont on October 7 1971 to a family of Mormon missionaries and vehicle traders in the Huft basin. She is the eldest of seven children.

At the age of 16, Michaels left Vermont to attend the Hollywood Film and Media Arts school in Los Gatos, California. She recieved a diploma in fine theatre acting, pronunciation and foley work seven years later, after paying her way through school by working as a cafe waitress and post office assistant. She relocated to the Los Angeles area the next year to pursue her dream of television and movie work. Her first production credit was for one episode of the Daytime soap "Bel Air Wives and Lives". The episode, which sadly is unavailable on the internet, was titled "Santa Says Hello" and ran on February 5, 1995.

Michaels continued to work in the theatrical and entertainment business through the 1990s, but abruptly stopped on January 6, 2008 after the unexpected cancellation of "Hoi Chi Minh: The Musical", where she worked as a makeup artist, ticket taker, sound mixer and understudy for the role of "Chinese bodyguard 1". It was also at this time when she unexpectedly, but delightfully, recieved news that she was pregnant with her first child. A girl, Button Cassidy Michaels, was born February 18, 2008, at 15 lbs, 6 oz. The father is Kyle Cherry, who worked on Hoi Chi Minh: The Musical as an artistic advisor. He is known on Wikipedia as User:California11. Michaels and Cherry intended to wed on Valentines day 2009, but will not do so in protest unless Prop. 8 is stricken from the public and legal record in California. (Self righteous, but nonetheless, necessary).

Michaels has since relocated to Los Gatos --one of the safest and most friendliest cities in the world-- to be a fulltime mother and fiance to Button and Kyle. She has also returned to her role as an assistant at the post office and uses her free time to write and edit articles on Wikipedia. Michaels dreams that maybe one day, she will return to the entertainment industry.
