Repurify is also a term used in water/wastewater. The water treatment technique of reverse osmosis (commonly referred to as RO) is used to "polish" or "repurify" wastewater effluent to meet discharge requirements. Wastewater is also said to be repurified and reclaimed for reuse in groundwater recharge and certain industrial applications.^[2] See Reverse osmosis
