Statement of Interests
[edit]My academic and professional background centers around human resource management. I plan to contribute articles in the area of human resource management. However, I've actually contributed content in two other areas of interest first. My first contribution was the article on the Battle of Cerro Gordo. Only after I saved the page, did I realize I'd forgotten to login. (Rookie mistake!) So, there's an anonymous post that starts that article. Others have contributed to the article making it much better than it's humble beginning, but that's the idea behind Wikipedia. History, particularly military history, is one of my personal intersts and I hope to write more in this area again. The first article actually attributed to me was an addition to the article on the SLAX distribution of the Linux operating system. I described Wolvix, one of the derivatives of SLAX. I'm a bit of a computer geek, who is self-teaching how to use Linux. My hobbies inspired me to contribute before my profession. Quite frankly, I write so much all week long on matter related to human resources, I enjoy escaping a bit into history and computers on the weekend.
