'Ignore Harriet day' is an international tradition in [but not limited to] the United Kingdom where the majority of the citizens of the UK ignore people named Harriet.
The most frequently chosen day is the 5th of February, however this still remains in dispute.[citation needed]
Prevention by schools
[edit]Some schools have taken actions to prevent students from ignoring Harriet's on Ignore Harriet day, including dispatching police officers forcing students to notice girls named Harriet. In some cases, schools have suspended or expelled students of this nature.[citation needed]
Other schools have attempted to prevent such day by offering some kind of school sponsored class trip to an amusement park or other fun activity. [citation needed]
