User:Ral315/Board questions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm completely refactoring how I'm doing this based on the question setup that's already there. For reference, my original list of questions is below. Ral315 (talk) 21:37, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

  1. Do you have any other usernames or pseudonyms?
  2. What current or former user rights or positions do you have, and on which projects? (i.e. administrator, bureaucrat, arbitrator, developer, steward, board member, etc.)
  3. Outside of Wikipedia, what do you do for a living?
  4. What languages do you speak?
  5. Why do you want to join the Board? What qualities do you feel you can bring to the Board?
  6. About how much time do you think you'll put into the role?
  7. Name one thing that you'd like to accomplish as a board member.
  8. How do you feel Sue Gardner and the rest of the staff members have done over the last year in building the office, and moving to San Francisco?
  9. Ideally, where do you see the Wikimedia Foundation in 5 years?
  10. As a board member, how will you ensure a balance between openness and necessary privacy in board matters?
  11. Wikimedia projects in developing nations are growing in popularity, but still lag far behind the more popular projects. What steps would you suggest to improve the quality, readership, and number of editors on smaller wikis?
  12. What do you feel should be done to increase participation on non-Wikipedia projects?
  13. What is your opinion of the recent board restructuring? What is your opinion about Durova's petition
  14. What else do you want to say to voters? (This is a good place to answer a question specific to your candidacy that you think should be answered)
