Some editors angry after donor's logo displayed on sitenotice
Some editors expressed anger and disgust after the logo of Virgin Unite, the charitable foundation operated by Virgin Group and its founder, Richard Branson, was displayed on the top of all pages on the English Wikipedia and a few other Wikimedia sites. Wikimedia Foundation officials defended the notice as a necessary step to ensure continual donations to the Foundation, and simply a "thank-you" to Virgin Unite for their donation.
