EMMY® Award Winning Cinematographer, Ramy Romany, resides in Los Angeles, California and has been filming documentaries and TV Shows for more than decade. Born in Cairo, Egypt, into a documentary producing family, he was given the oppurtunity to grow on film sets on Ancient Egyptian ruins, gaining the experience early on age.
He has produced over a hundred Ancient Egyptian Documentaries before the age of 20 for different international networks such as Discovery, History and National Geographic. Ramy's passion for cinematography grew over time, and he then decided to pursue his passion and grow in cinematography.
Shooting documentaries of Ancient Egypt, then working in Hollywood, California after the political circumstances lead him to flee his home, he was able to travel the Americas filming documentaries and shooting TV shows.
In 2013, before the age of 30, Ramy was nominated for two EMMY® Awards for his cinematography work on 2 different documentaries he filmed in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, and in November he won for the cinematography on "Esperanza".
