Barbara Kreger Washburn[edit]

Barbara Kreger Washburn (born in Tyler, Texas) is an award winning[1] Christian fiction author, known for her fast paced, "keep you on the edge of your seat" Chrisitan suspense/thriller novels. Washburn is a member of the Northeast Texas Writers Organization and Ozark Writers League.

Barbara Washburn has written two Christian suspense novels published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises. The setting for her first two novels, The Hiding Place and The Dark Place, is Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She is currently co-writing a thriller with her husband, Randy. One of the unique features of her novels is that she integrates Ballroom Dance lessons into the plot and gives detailed instructions for the dance lessons in the back of her books. Barbara and Randy have been ballroom dancing for over fifteen years.

In addition to her suspense novels she is a freelance writer of travel articles for the Colorado City Record.

Before becoming an author she had a career in nursing, child care, and Federal Income Tax preparation.
