Tim Brennan is an English artist and poet born in Sunderland, UK (Feb.2nd 1966). His artistic concerns lie in the the human condition and its relation to space, place and being in time.

Between October 2017 and November 2023 Brennan was Professor of Art, Head of Department Art & Performance, Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).

Brennan studied Fine Art at The Slade School of Fine Art and Public History and Historiography at Ruskin College Oxford.
