Saskatchewan speed skaters

Saskatchewan is home to Olympic and World Champion class speed skaters. Speed skating has brought Saskatchewan more individual Olympic and World Championship medals than any other sport. Competitive speed skating meets are held thoughout the winter in many Saskatchewan towns and cities. Provincial Championships are held yearly and several National Championships have been held in the province since 1998.

Saskatchewan Olympic medalists in speed skating include National Team members and former members:[[Catriona LeMay Doan[1]]], Justin Warsylewicz and Jason Parker. Saskatchewan World cup skaters include LeMay Doan, Warsylewicz, Parker, Lucas Makowsky, Kerry Dankers, and Kim Wegers.

Saskatchewan National Development Team members include: Dustin Johnston, and Mykola Makowsky.
