Stephen Killow is an ex-professional football player born on 6 December 1984. He started his career with Clydebank FC in 2003 before moving to Arbroath FC in 2004 after being signed by then manager Danny McGrain. A move to Hearts didnt work out as expected and after only two first teams starts, one against the team he supported as a boy Celtic FC he was released. Stephen was then signed my MLS franchise team Tampa Bay Mutiny alongside the then Columbian captain Carlos Valderrama, being one of the only two foreign players allowed per team due to MLS transfer policy, playing against the likes of Romario and Hristo Stoichkov. On returning to the UK Stephen had brief spells with Birmingham FC, Blackpool FC and Huddersfield Town before moving to Luxul FC in Malta. After one season he became captain and was called up to the Maltese U21 national team where he played two internationals against Luxemburg and Spain. A serious knee injury curtailed his playing in the following two seasons and after numerous operations he was forced to retire through injury in 2006 at the age of 23.
