- :Rickey Lee Toms J.R, was born on September 20,1985 in Seattle, Washington a.k.a. the south end. Ricky’s a.k.a. name is Mastermind why is his name Mastermind. He master's any aspect to any element and that’s why his name is Mastermind . Mastermind started producing in 1997 with two of his friends from Chicago Illinois. All they had was two tape recorders with one speaker on each one and no keyboard. The idea Mastermind had was to make a beat with his hands to make a kick and a snare with the table and use his mouth for the tunes. He recorded that on one tape and used the other for live recording. In 1998 a friend of his had a keyboard and let him hear some beats that he made and Rick asked him can you teach me how to use a keyboard. In 1999 his two friends from Illinois Chicago had got a keyboard so with Mastermind’s beats and his two friends with the vocals they made a song just about every day and still had to record live on one tape recorder. In 2000 Mastermind started producing for 3 Strike Records. In 2001 Mastermind produced a album for a unsigned artist knowledge. In 2003 Mastermind produced a album for Duce Tha Don a artist under 3 Strike records. In 2004 Mastermind produced another album for knowledge. In summer 2004 Mastermind produced a mix tape with his beat with 3 Strike artist. Also Mastermind graduated in 2004 at Lindbergh High School. In 2005 Mastermind produced a alum for Eternal a artist under 3 Strike Records who is no longer with 3 Strike Records and that album was never put out. In 2006 Mastermind was no longer with 3 Strike Records. Also in 2006 Mastermind produced a album for a unsigned artist Yong Banks. Mastermind also made a solo music video for Young Banks. In 2006 summer Mastermind produced a beat on the A-yes mix tape Man up vol. 1 and made a solo music video for that mix tape song. A-Yes and Young Banks are from the same click 8 Block and made a 8 Block song with a music video directed and produced by Mastermind. Also in 2006 Mastermind linked up with “DRE 618” the real C.E.O. and started working with Urban C.E.O. Entertainment. In 2007 Mastermind produced another album for knowledge. Also in 2007 Mastermind directed and produced two music video’s, one video for D. Gill and Eternal and one solo music video for Eternal. Also in 2007 Mastermind started producing for Urban C.E.O. Entertainment artist and networking with Urban C.E.O. Entertainment put Mastermind into InBox magazine with a short clip of the 8 Block video on the inbox magazine dvd. Mastermind is still working with the twin’s for Illinois Chicago, Young Banks, A-Ye$, D. Gill, Eternal, Duce Tha Don, knowledge, Leah La Belle from American Idol, Marissa, Pierre Suggs, ATG, J Da Great, Von OP, Monster, “ DRE 618 “ , Big C , Infiniti, Mic Drugga and Notice Mastermind goals are to work with artist that love to make music and money from West coast, East coast, Midwest, Down south and the Northwest.Mastermind also makes video’s, DVD’S, mix down songs, photo editing, CD album cover's, and produce beats and song's. Mastermind is still producing beats, songs and video’s. This is the start of Mastermind .
