In a funny slice of time I felt the power of universe - the fundamental energy - at my disposal. In those quirky moments, the world was fascinated by me, not one could keep there eyes away, not one could ignore my presence, not one could simply walk on by. It is not power over people that I wish - it is power for the people. I seek justice - true justice that transcends advantages at birth, accidents of inheritance, winning the genetic lottery, or the type of luck that has certain people moving through the world and time unscathed and unscarred.

Where does that put us as individual humans when all genetic advantages and disadvantages are taken out of the equation. Now what about variations in what is broadly defined as "nurture" - what if all mothers had full health and adequate food, safety, and perfectly balanced hormones when they carry a baby in their wombs. Remove Religion and add spiritualism. Give each person the same amount of pain, pleasure, sadness, happiness, success and failure as they grow into an adult. On that journey, from babe to young adult, give each the same exposure to arts, culture, mathematics, logic, and the rules of a just society. Remove all ties with history, but let the lessons of history be taught - never revealing the genetic history or the family history - to avoid future mistakes history is a good example and is therefore worthwhile, but how that history has effected any individual's forefathers and mothers must never be known. The idea of belonging to anything more specific than the family of humanity must be struck down with all references and lexicons being purged of the language needed to express that kind of individuality.

Make the "Golden Rule" the central point in both day to day morality and in the administration of justice.

Give the people their heroes, but heroes who are justified in possessing that title. Instill the worth of art, science, and the pursuit of knowledge. Divert warrior instincts towards a war against sickness, corruption, and the natural dangers that prevent the expansion of the society of modern man from spreading across space. Make the control of energy in its many forms and on scales from the almost impossibly immense to nearly infinitely small. Learning every nuance should be as big a goal as any.

Then armed with the knowledge and power of a truly formidable civilization, we will be well prepared to deal with any other intelligences we encounter as we expand through this galaxy and others. For warlike, we will not be,for we shall be so peacefully strong as to be beyond all comparisons. We will simply sweep aside or convert the greater family of intelligences that inhabit our galaxy, our universe. If we are lucky to encounter beings even more advanced along our path, then we will entreat them to join with us. To elevate us. Just as we do with those less advanced. With our love of diversity, we add to our strength through embracing differences, taking what is of value and adding it to our own society; similarly, we do not abide threats to our civilization, and we soon strike war from the hearts of any Aliens who are advanced enough to join us on our path. We allow the lessons of war to turn younger civilizations towards the truth or creation, not destruction.

We will become a force for creation. We will build structures of consummate function yet unimaginable beauty - our creations will be built to persist for billions of years. We will put a lifespan on them - never knowing when for some undefinable reason, the universe would need to be released from their influences.

Let us back up in time to the creation of a civilization worthy of lasting millennium. We must start, have already started, and we must embrace the great goals of the future as so loosely outlined.

But, for now, for just this moment, stop and consider the implications of that level playing field described in the opening paragraphs, with that achieved, where would we now all stand in relation to each other. I would say that we would stand shoulder to shoulder. Empathy and a desire to benefit all of mankind will be driving forces in our lives.

How to get the controlling forces created by religions 1000s of years in our past out of our society - religions that promote violence and war - they must be struck from the minds of mankind before we can ever stand a chance of being truly great.
