Ronald Allen Mitchell is an American businessmen recently named in the 2018 San Diego 500. The San Diego 500 is the market’s most comprehensive product of people you should know in the business community. The 500 includes business leaders and executives who have founded or are running significant companies in terms of numbers of jobs, key products and services, experts who raise the level of the industry here and beyond and those who lead the business community. The 500 is selected by the San Diego Business Journal newsroom.

Mitchell is a former Managing Partner for AKT LLP. AKT is a region CPA firm based out of Portland, Oregon. Mitchell worked primarily out of the Carlsbad, CA office. Mitchell has more than three decades of accounting experience with extensive experience in healthcare and within the public sector, IPAs, management service organizations, and multi and single specialty physician groups. He’s spoken nationally on important issues and has written several accounting articles that have been published in the Journal of Accounting and Tax publications.

Mitchell is the former vice president of the Mira Costa College Foundation. He also served four terms on the board of directors of Tri-City Hospital. Tri-City Hospital is the largest hospital in San Diego. For his service on the board, Mitchell was awarded the 2005 Leadership in Governance Award from the California Healthcare Association. Mitchell is now retired and services as the CFO for Amor Ministries. Amor is a Christian not for profit organization that works to help people in underprivileged communities throughout the world.

Mitchell currently resided in Vista, CA. He is married to his wife Jeanette Mitchell. Together, they have seven children and seven grandchildren.
