This user has publicly declared that they have a conflict of interest regarding the Wikipedia article Enpass. |
This account was created for the purpose of contributing to articles related to my professional projects, and related interests, as a content and user-experience consultant. This includes edits to articles about my clients, usually when those articles contain inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information.
My intent is to always...
- Disclose any conflict of interest, both on this user page and on the talk pages for the articles I edit
- Adhere to Wikipedia guidelines for reliable sources, verifiability, and neutral point of view
- Seek advice from, and review by, impartial editors to ensure accuracy and transparency
- Always and only make contributions that improve an article’s completeness, accuracy, and/or readability
I am happy to discuss any of my contributions and any COI concerns on my User Talk page.
DISCLOSURES:
- As of 2020, the password manager Enpass is a client. I have and will contribute to the product’s Wikipedia page for the betterment of the article.
- I am declaring my CIO using the Connected Contributor template rather the Connected Contributor (paid) template because I am not being paid specifically to edit Wikipedia, but rather as a consultant. One of my projects for Enpass includes helping clear up the common misconception (including in the Enpass article) that Enpass is primarily an "offline password manager." Because the Enpass article is stubby, has been poorly maintained, is out of date, and contains other inaccuracies, I will be making additional edits as well, to improve and expand the information included, not for the direct benefit of Enpass, but for the accuracy and completeness of the Wikipedia article.
- If more experienced editors feel I should be using Connected Contributor (paid), please let me know on my User Talk page or the Enpass article talk page.
- For the record, I was already an Enpass user for several years before becoming a consultant on several aspects of the company’s products, including support and training content, website content, and the content and usability of the app’s interface.
